Canadian Experience Class

The Express Entry programme is based on a number and ranking system in which applicants compete against each other in a pool of applicants. CIC selects applicants from the pool and sends invitations based on their ranking.

Minimum CEC ( Canadian Experience Class ) Requirements

The nominee must be able to:

  • Within the three years prior to applying, have at least one year of full-time or two years of part-time job experience in NOC 0, A, or B.
  • In order to pass the language proficiency test, you must achieve the necessary language levels.
  • Plan to live somewhere other than Quebec.

Please keep in mind that

  • Work experience gained when enrolled as a full-time student would not be taken into account.
  • Having the requisite work experience and applying for Express Entry does not guarantee acceptance; applicants with the highest scores in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Tool will be given priority.
