After completing their studies, international students may apply for a Post Graduate Work Permit in Canada.
If you graduated from a Designated Learning institution, which is one of the approved post-secondary institutes for the post-graduation work permit, you might be eligible for a PGWP. This helps students who want to remain in Canada for a longer period of time to do so.
Since international students are only eligible for one Post-Graduation Work Permit from IRCC, it’s critical to take advantage of it.

International students must meet the following requirements to be qualified for a Post-Graduation Work Permit:
Completed at least eight months of post-secondary studies in Canada at a qualifying Post-Secondary Institute
A degree, diploma, or credential must be earned as a result of your studies.
Should maintain full-time student status in Canada for each semester of the programme or programmes of study completed and included in their application for a post-graduation work permit;
Submit a transcript and an official letter from the institute as evidence of completion of the programme.
A post-graduation work permit application must contain the transcript and official letter.
Application deadline: 180 days after receiving a transcript

If you are an international student, you are disqualified to apply if you:
Have been given a post-graduation work permit in the past
Global Affairs Canada provided support (GAC)
GAC was a participant in the Government of Canada Awards Program.
Obtained the Canada–Chile Equal Opportunity Scholarship
Participated in the Scholars Exchange Program between Canada and China
Participated in the Fellowships Program of the Organization of American States
Distance learning provided them with the majority of the credits they needed to finish their programme of study.
Regardless of duration of stay in Canada, completed a programme of research delivered by a non-Canadian institution based in Canada
