Depending on the applicant’s condition and qualifications, he or she may apply for various types of work permits. The following are the basic eligibility conditions for obtaining a temporary work permit:
You actually reside in Canada and have a valid study or work permit, or your spouse or parents do.
Graduated from an institute in Canada
You must have a valid temporary resident permit for at least six months.
Your permanent residency application is being processed by CIC.
There are several types of work permits available.
Graduate work Permit
Effective completion of education from an approved college or training programme gets the student a year’s worth of work permit.
Closed work permit
As a consequence of a positive LMIA, a closed work permit may be obtained (formerly known as LMO labour market opinion)
Bridging Work Permit
If an applicant has already been accepted by the province for nomination or has submitted an application for permanent residency, they may extend their work permit.
